SPARTA consists of two main functions.
First, SPARTA powers the username and password authentication
of your member's area. SPARTA is extremely efficient in doing
so as it only authenticates the member once at login rather
than on every request as most authentication systems do. SPARTA
also supports advanced authentication features such as allowing
mulitple username and password lists (either files or SQL
based), CAPTCHA images at login to be sure a real person is
logging in, and much more.
The second major function of SPARTA is the active
prevention of password trading. SPARTA uses a full
score system to determine if a username or an IP should be
blocked or banned. Current blocked and banned users or IPs
can be viewed and removed via the SPARTA admin area. Through
the use of the CAPTCHA image feature of NATS brute force attacks
become useless making your site much less vulnerable to hackers.
When combined with NATS, SPARTA allows you access to detailed
member information inside your member's areas and additional
fraud detection via NATS. SPARTA will run both in conjunction
with NATS and as a stand alone application. SPARTA is a very
advanced and useful application. Please speak with anyone
at Too Much Media for more information on how SPARTA can both
help protect your website and advance its functionality.
