Pheromones are naturally produced by mammals and released from the sweat glands. It´s the primal way of attracting females, a natural biological sign that induces mating.

The evolution on humans species and the development of human brain has reduced the dependence of these natural signs. So, today we produce minimal amounts of our pheromones, but that doesn’t mean they work anymore - the perception of pheromones is still there, but on a subconscious level. We just don’t produce a concentration high enough to play an important role on the dating game.
